We choose to start this blog together from a shared desire to think through writing.
“It is by teaching that we teach ourselves,
by relating that we observe,
by affirming that we examine,
by showing that we look,
by writing that we think,
by pumping that we draw water into the well.” Henri Frederic Amiel
This co-blog drives us to think differently about our work and our ideas. Often we come to new understandings simply by moving through a post together. You will see both of our names if we co-compose a post. Other times, either Erin or Shelley is the main writer. And other times, we might voice in on the other person’s post with italicized font.
It is a grand journey to have a writing accountability partner.
If you’ve ever considered co-blogging, we highly recommend giving it a try! If you’d like help, the National Blogging Collaborative is a spectacular group ready to help you. We love their mission: “NBC cultivates and supports the capacity of all educators to use their unique voice to elevate the craft of teaching and learning.” Please check them out at http://www.nationalbloggingcollaborative.com/.
“Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.” ~ E.L. Doctorow
